Around 4½ to 5½ years. Sr. KG gets children ready for big school. They read short sentences, write words, add and take away, and grow the confidence to speak up in class.

By the end of the year
Every child grows at their own pace. Most Sr. KG children can:
- Reads short sentences
- Writes their name and simple words
- Counts to 100 and does simple sums
- Speaks confidently in front of the class
- Looks after their own bag and books
- Is ready and excited for Class 1
A day in Sr. KG
Short, playful blocks that fit how long small children can pay attention.
Monday to Saturday, [9:00 am – 1:00 pm].
Hello and free play
Children arrive, settle in and choose a toy or a corner.
Circle time
Songs, the day’s weather, and a few new words together.
Learning through play
The week’s topic — animals, numbers, colours — with blocks, pictures and games.
Snack and outdoor play
A healthy snack from home, fresh air and running around.
Art, music or movement
Painting, clay, dance, rhymes — something different each day.
Story and goodbye
A story, a song, and home time with a known adult.

Will my child be ready for Class 1?
Yes, that’s what Sr. KG is for: reading, writing, early maths and the confidence to learn in a bigger class.
Is there a graduation?
Yes. Sr. KG children graduate in April with caps, certificates and a small celebration for families.
Do you help with Class 1 admissions?
[Confirm] We share a progress report you can show to the new school, and are happy to talk to you about choosing one.
Which class fits my child?
